Comprehensive Planning

The most recent effort was managed by the Franklin County Economic Development & Planning Department. Brown Township residents, officials and Franklin County planners began the process of developing a land use plan for the unincorporated Brown Township area.

Franklin County planners met with a working committee composed of township residents, business owners, developers and others. This committee participated in the review of public input and provided feedback to the planners during the planning process.

Public meetings were held to gather public input and comments about the direction and content of the plan. Meetings were publically advertised with road signs throughout the township and other announcements. Franklin County planners provided township residents and other stakeholders access to draft plan documents, meeting materials and presentations.
