Brown Township Comprehensive Planning

Our plan documents are designed to be tools for assisting governing bodies and planning commissions when determining future development, growth and needs of the Brown Township community.

Conducted in an orderly fashion and as part of an administrative process, Brown Township comprehensive planning serves to move the township towards unified goals and interests which transcend the desires of any individual interests. Because of the diverse nature of this community, it is necessary to develop its own individual set of goals. The most important underlying factor of these goals is the primarily the preservation of the rural lifestyle and of the natural resources found in this community. Planning has been, and will continue to be both anticipatory and reactive, requiring the Brown Township Trustees to anticipate and develop responses for future development pressures, while at the same time responding to current needs of the township residents with immediate solutions.
