Beach Road over Darby Creek to be closed

Bridge Reopening Update (11/23/25):
The Franklin County Engineer’s Office reports that inspections uncovered unexpected deterioration in parts of the bridge’s concrete. To keep the structure safe, the repair crew needed to remove the damaged areas and replace them with a specialized concrete mix. This material requires extended curing time to ensure the bridge remains structurally sound. These necessary safety steps have added downtime to the project and pushed back the original reopening date. The current estimate from the County is that the bridge will reopen before Christmas. We understand how inconvenient this closure has been and sincerely appreciate your patience. The Engineer's priority is to ensure the bridge is safe and able to serve the community for years to come
