Township Open House

Ice Cream Social and Firehouse Anniversary Celebration

Brown Township residents were invited to attend an open house at the Brown Township Firehouse between 2:00pm and 5:00pm on Sunday, August 11, 2019. The event celebrated the 20th anniversary of the construction of the Firehouse.

The day saw a strong steady flow of families stopping in and talking with the Brown Township Trustees, our Fiscal Officer as well as representatives of the Norwich Township Fire Department, Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District, Franklin County Public Health, Franklin County Board of Elections, and Brown Township Block Watch.

The fire fighters served up free ice cream and gave firehouse tours while other residents obtained information on how to maintain their home sewage system and Focus Hilliard (our community paramedic program). The kids enjoyed the Norwich Township Fire Department bounce house and Sparky the Fire Dog. The Franklin County Board of Elections demonstrated a new voting machine that anyone could try out. Of corce there was inforamtion on rain gardens, and much more.

Thanks to all who stopped in and joined us in our celebration of the 20th anniversary of our Brown Township Firehouse!
